Questions

Common questions that knock on the door.

Check out the answers to the most common questions asked by a web developer. If your question is not listed below, feel free to get in touch and I will try to answer it as soon as possible.

  • Q. I already have a website, can you update or refresh the design?

It's possible depending on the existing website but in most cases it's more effective to rebuild it from scratch. That way you will be up to date with current technologies and everything will be shiny and new.

  • Q. How long does it take to design and build a website?

The time it takes will vary from project to project, but a basic website normally takes around 8-10 days from beginning to end, depending on the complexity and the quality and timing of content provided by you.

Larger sites with more complex features will take longer. A timeline estimate will be provided based on information provided.

  • Q. Will my website work on mobile devices?

Yes. All the websites I design and build work on all devices. The most common way to achieve this is to use a responsive design which will scale up from a mobile design to tablet and then desktop.

  • Q. Do you provide eCommerce/Online Store websites?

Yes, I do! Online stores are an addition to a standard website that can be included in the initial website build or added at a later stage if you are not ready to go ahead in the initial stages.

  • Q. Can you update content on my website for me?

Yes of course! If you have better things to do with your time you can leave it with me and I'll take care of it.

  • Q. Do you write the content for my site?

I don’t provide content, but I can put you in contact with a copywriter who specialises in online content creation if needed.

  • Q. Do you do other things apart from websites?

Sure! I can provide you with email newsletter templates, graphic design, artwork for print and more.

  • Q. What are your payment terms?

Generally I require a 50% upfront. The balance is due at launch, or one calendar month after testing begins, whichever comes first.
